One of our hopes this trip was to get some new photos of our family in South Africa, including remaking some pictures like the one that has long been our cover photo here on our family ministry website.
Taken shortly before we moved back to the US in 2017, it was a pretty outdated representation of our family. Cape Town has many of these picture frames at various nature overlooks and tourist sites, including this one at the V&A Waterfront, showing Table Mountain in the background. Karen and Billy did a great job of recreating their poses—as did that sailboat mast!
This new photo is a precious reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness in allowing our family to continue in ministry despite many years of changes and challenges. It’s also a joyful memento of a long-awaited return to South Africa together.
