About Brian

I am a follower of Jesus, blessed with a wife, two children, and a call to serve God wherever He leads. For 12 years, we were missionaries, with me serving as a missionary journalist sharing stories of His work in South Africa and around the world. When we moved back to the USA, Tracy and the kids returned to normal work, and I continued serving remotely in missions. I am now returning to working outside missions, but ministry will always be part of our family's lives in Christ.

Theological questions…

Does spiritualizing the dent and embracing its symbolic value mean that we have to live with the dent?  Should we be good stewards and protect the assets that God has entrusted to us?  Too bad there wasn’t “The Book of Autobodius Insurians;” that’d be quite helpful and relevant.

Welcome!

We’re the Heffrons, a family in rural New York state with a desire to follow God and serve in missions.  Brian is a former newspaper reporter and English teacher now entering full-time missionary work as a writer and editor covering educational ministries in several African countries.  Tracy is a physician assistant in a local hospital’s emergency department.  Our kids, Karen and Billy, are in elementary school and excited about going to Africa someday.

Thanks for stopping by!
