Last Saturday was my birthday. Nearly 200 people sent their greetings through the computer.

Remembering Dec. 7
“December 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy…”
There are so many ways people have remembered today the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor of 74 years ago. I’ve thought of it repeatedly, wondering how best to participate in honoring that memory.

Come and see…
Many people have asked where they’ll be able to read the articles I create once we’re in South Africa.

Seeing value, seeing beauty
I love photography.
Like writing, photography is an art of observing, of seeing differently and more closely, and of seeking value even where it could easily be missed or assumed lacking. Of deciding how best to share the value seen with others who may not have noticed or even had the chance to see for themselves.
It’s an art of honoring, valuing, and validating.
