We would appreciate your prayers for us as we enter a month of great opportunities to talk about the work God has for us!
From Sunday through Tuesday, we will attend the Missional Holiness Conference in Bethlehem, Pa., where we will have a display about our mission to South Africa. Please pray that God blesses us and the other attendees through this time and the conversations we will have as we speak about God’s work in and through us. Please pray that we develop relationships that lead to further support partners and opportunities.
Once we’re back, we’ll begin preparing for our official introduction as missionaries at our church, Crosswinds Wesleyan Church in Canandaigua! This is a very exciting and encouraging development for us. During all three services on November 8th and 9th, Pastor Craig Cooper will interview us in front of the congregation about our journey into missions and about the work ahead; we will also have a table set up outside the ministry center. Please pray for us to contagiously convey an enthusiasm for missions and that many would be inspired to pray about both supporting missionaries and discerning what roles God has for them. Please also consider attending Crosswinds that weekend (or any! all are welcome; 3360 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua; services at 6 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday). We would love to see you there!
The following week, Crosswinds will begin its second annual “Global Impact Festival” (Nov. 16-23), celebrating God’s work around the world and encouraging our church members to support missionaries and ministries here and abroad. This year’s theme is James 1:27: “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” During this time, please pray for people to be touched by God’s heart for us to help those in need and His call for us to avoid the temptations and beliefs so common in our world.
As always, thank you for your encouragement, prayers, and support!
