It’s ironic that the last sizable post on this blog included the sentence, “Through the difficulties and joys of this time, it has always been clear that this is where God meant for us to be.”
It’s still true, even though He’s since called us back to America.
A lot of stress went away on Monday, when my colleague declared my tasks complete for our current print publication.
A few months ago, a good friend asked me how things were going on a day that was particularly difficult to answer. These were the thoughts he prompted then, shared now on another day of mixed outcomes and feelings (today’s additions are italicized). Yes, we’re all fine, and our colleagues reassure us that our adjustment hiccups are normal.

I try to grow in my faith and understanding, to follow Jesus ever more closely, and to speak only things that uplift, inspire, inform, or amuse.
Like most people I know, though, I am human, and I sometimes say the wrong thing clearly or the right thing imperfectly.
Anything I say poorly is my own fault and should not be taken to reflect the views of my God, my church, my brethren, or my missionary organization.
