On Sunday, we’ll say goodbye to Sophiegooddoggy. We’ll walk in the yard, give her treats, and snuggle together. We’ll take some last pictures and wipe away tears, and then we’ll take her to the house we cried about leaving in August and entrust her to friends who’ll make it her home again.

About Brian
I am a follower of Jesus, blessed with a wife, two children, and a call to serve God wherever He leads. For 12 years, we were missionaries, with me serving as a missionary journalist sharing stories of His work in South Africa and around the world. When we moved back to the USA, Tracy and the kids returned to normal work, and I continued serving remotely in missions. I am now returning to working outside missions, but ministry will always be part of our family's lives in Christ.Letting go

2 down, 2 to go
We moved in August. And again last week. We’re planning to move in January. And will again sometime soon afterward.
We’re apparently nomads now.

Been through the water
It was 2004, and we rested in the home’s shady courtyard, as grateful to escape the hot sun of Kaffrine, Senegal as we were to worship the God whom we had spent days serving in medical huts. We sat on the ground, sang songs in several languages, and witnessed something incredibly rare among the Wolof people.
